Prescribers

Madhav Muppa, MD

Dr. Madhav MuppaDr. Madhav Muppa is an experienced Psychiatrist with more than 10 years of experience. He is double board certified in Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry. Having completed his residency and fellowship at Louisiana State University, Dr. Muppa has both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry experience. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for children and adolescents struggling with mental health issues.

Dr. Muppa has a particular interest in treating mood disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, and depression in children and adolescents and is well-versed in the latest treatments and therapies. Dr. Muppa is known for his empathy and ability to connect with young patients. In order to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment, he is exceptionally skilled at collaborating with families. Dr. Muppa promotes open dialogue and actively includes parents and other caregivers in the healing process.

Phil Johns, PA-C, CAQ-Psych

Phil Johns, DMSC, MPH, PA-C, CAQ-PsychPhil Johns, DMSC, MPH, PA-C, CAQ-Psych, is a native of Virginia and began his career as a psychiatric physician assistant in 2009. He is passionate about serving those with a wide range of mental health conditions. Phil completed his training as a physician assistant at the University of Toledo and earned additional degrees through Liberty University and the University of Lynchburg. As a physician assistant and as a health and wellness coach, Phil enjoys educating and mentoring others with his wealth of clinical and leadership experience obtained throughout his career.

Jennifer Campbell, PA-C

Jennifer CampbellJennifer Campbell Grant was born and raised in South Florida and now resides in Charlotte with her family. She obtained her undergraduate degree of Biology at University of Florida and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University. Jennifer comes to us from a community health center in NC where she gained experience in treating a wide variety of mental and psychiatric illnesses. Her current role also includes being the Director of Clinical Education at Wingate University Physician Assistant Program. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is wholeheartedly determined to provide her patients with a safe space to navigate their journey to ultimate wellness.

Tori Mathews, PA-C

Tori Mathews, PA-CTori Mathews is a physician assistant who has spent most of her life in the Kansas City metro area where she resides currently. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Rockhurst University. She went on to receive her Master of Medical Science - Physician Assistant degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, graduating in 2021. She has been a practicing physician assistant since this time, gaining experience in psychiatric medication management. Tori is dedicated to seeing the complete person behind the diagnosis. She takes great pride in providing compassionate, individualized care that helps patients rediscover their confidence and feel like themselves again.

Carol Smith, PA-C

Carol Smith, PA-CCarol Smith, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a broad range of knowledge and skills to support the various aspects of mental health. Carol graduated with her Masters in Physician Assistant studies from James Madison University in 2013 and has worked in outpatient psychiatry since 2017. In conjunction with her clinical duties, Carol managed Clinical Drug Research studies for various pharmaceutical companies and was a Behavioral Medicine clinical preceptor for Physician Assistant Programs. Carol is positive, supportive, and deeply committed to providing empathetic, patient-centered care. Carol takes pride in being a cheerleader for her patients, encouraging and empowering them to reach their goals while supporting them every step of the way.

Tamika Stanton, LCSWA

Tamika Stanton, LCSWATamika Stanton is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with a passion for supporting the emotional and mental well-being of adolescents and adults. She holds both a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work, demonstrating a strong academic foundation and commitment to the values of the social work profession.

With professional experience in crisis intervention, Tamika has worked with individuals navigating some of life’s most challenging moments, including those dealing with suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Her background includes providing immediate support in high-pressure situations, developing safety plans, and empowering clients to regain control of their lives through strength-based and person-centered approaches.

Tamika creates a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, valued, and understood. Her therapeutic style integrates empathy, active listening, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. She believes in meeting people where they are and helping them build the resilience and skills needed to thrive.

Jerrontay Jackson, Resident in Clinical Social Work

Jerrontay Jackson, Resident in Clinical Social WorkJerrontay received his Bachelor's in Social Work from Radford University and a Master's in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has worked in several settings, including in-home, school-based, outpatient treatment, and hospital case management. He has clinical experience working with adolescents and teenagers who have concerns with substance abuse, aggression, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and suicidal ideation. He is currently a Supervisee In Social Work, working towards earning licensure under the Virginia Social Work Board.

Jerrontay utilizes various therapeutic techniques based on the individual’s unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mode Deactivation Therapy (MDT), Solution-Focused therapy, Strengths-Based, Reality Orientation, and Family Therapy, while advocating for the overall well-being of the person and support for the family.

Hazel Flores, Resident in Clinical Social Work

Hazel Flores, Resident in Clinical Social WorkHazel is a therapist with more than six years of experience working in various mental health settings, including inpatient hospitals, residential treatment centers, and intensive outpatient programs. These diverse clinical experiences allowed her to support individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments and have shaped her compassionate approach to care.

Hazel specializes in working with individuals of all ages who are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and more. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, tailored to her clients’ unique needs. She creates a calm, nonjudgmental space where each person can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make choices that align with the life they desire.

Hazel deeply believes in her clients’ capacity to change, heal, and grow. Life can be unpredictable and overwhelming, and she understands that beginning therapy is a monumental step. Her goal is to make that step feel safe and supportive.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, Hazel is committed to making mental health care accessible and inclusive.

Laura Dienes-Oehm, RDN

Laura Dienes-Oehm, RDNLaura Dienes-Oehm, RDN is a graduate of The University of Alabama with 32 years of experience as a dietician. She has worked in the areas of telemedicine, outpatient counseling, private practice, clinical nutrition, management, rehabilitation, substance abuse and community nutrition. Her first love is nutrition counseling since it affords her the opportunity to build rapport and trust with her clients while witnessing the change process taking place.

She has a passion for guiding clients through lifestyle changes by utilizing motivational interviewing techniques. Laura believes that each person must search for their internal motivation to change. Once discovered, then the change becomes much easier to accomplish. As the journey to change begins, Laura encourages clients to incorporate more whole foods into their diets in order heal their bodies and minds.
